CA$H Coalition
An initiative coordinated by United Way to provide free tax preparation to low-wage workers in order to increase their access to the Earned Income Tax Credit, and other tax credits for which they are eligible.  Volunteer tax preparers, certified by the IRS, provide confidential, high quality service.

Day of Caring
Teams of volunteers from local businesses and service organizations join together to complete community service projects at local non-profit organizations.

Homelessness Prevention & Emergency Funds
United Way distributes specially designated federal, foundation, and individual donations to support emergency housing, utility, and food needs of local residents.

FamilyWize Discount Prescription Drug Card Program
Market and disseminate discount prescription drug cards that save approximately 52% (or $34) on prescription drug costs for local employees and residents.

Fuel Oil Donation Program
In a partnership with local fuel oil companies,  United Way coordinates the distribution of donated fuel oil to local residents in need.

Hudson Valley 211

Public Policy Advocacy
Working with funded agencies and United Way colleagues we advocate for the passage of public policies that will improve the quality of life for consumers, and increase consumer self-sufficiency.

Raising HOPE
Raising HOPE is a volunteer-driven women’s initiative, started by United Way, with the goal of providing Help, Opportunity, Passion, and Empowerment to women in Ulster County through the development of special projects.
