Raising HOPE Virtual Workshop: “The Artist’s Way”: A Creativity Workshop
January 12, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Let’s learn together about how to schedule the tools of “The Artist’s Way” into our lives. The main tools include Morning Pages, Artist Dates and Artist Walks.
Morning Pages are three pages stream-of-consciousness writing, first thing in the morning, every day.
Artist Dates are an adventure, on your own.
Walks are just that, solo, without a destination, at least twice a week.
We will address powerful equivalent alternatives to walks, in terms of accessibility. We will also talk about Synchronicities.
Open to all present, past and future mentees and mentors. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for Zoom login to participate.
Workshop will officially run from 6:00 – 7:00 pm, but for anyone who wants to stay – it will also extend to 8:00 pm.
María Cecilia Deferrari:
Cecilia has a Masters in Humanistic and Multicultural Education from SUNY New Paltz where she is also currently enrolled in a Masters in English with a Concentration in Creative Writing.
Cecilia’s adventures have included working as a certified Spanish-language interpreter in the courts, and teaching English and Spanish to non-native speakers. She has worked as a community educator, in home-visiting parenting education and with kinship caregivers raising children when parents are unavailable to parent. She is proud to have taught in the impaired driver program, preventing recidivism.
Cecilia’s philosophy is that information catalyzes transformation and that creativity is what gets things moving. Her goal is to inspire others to wisely and joyously choose the trajectories upon which they journey in life. In this workshop, she will share the “tools” for accessing creativity which she has learned from assisting Julia Cameron, the author of The Artist’s Way, over 15 years, in over 25 workshops.
