Our commitment to equity

Equity is at the heart of our work. We believe diversity, inclusion, and access are essential to building a stronger Ulster County. We are intentional about engaging historically excluded voices in shaping community solutions, and we apply an equity lens to everything we do. Our goal is simple: ensure every person in Ulster County has access to the opportunities.

Our history

Since 1954, United Way of Ulster County has been a trusted partner in strengthening our community. For more than 70 years, we have stood alongside families, nonprofits, and local leaders to address Ulster County’s most pressing needs. While part of a respected national network, we are an independent 501(c)(3) led by local staff and a volunteer board. And unlike national organizations, 100% of all funding stays right here in Ulster County, directly supporting our neighbor.
